Dr. Lewandowski grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI. He received his Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from Miami University in 2011 and his Masters of Science and Medical Doctorate from the University of Toledo in 2012 and 2016. He completed his Surgical Residency at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, IL. He is Fellowship trained in Minimally Invasive, Robotic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery and Board Certified in all General Surgery.
He treats a variety of disease processes from disorders of the stomach, small intestine, gallbladder, colon and spleen, in addition to abdominal wall hernias and diseases of the skin and soft tissues. He specializes in minimally invasive robotic bariatric surgery, offering a wide variety of surgical weight loss procedures as well as minimally invasive robotic repair of complex abdominal wall hernias.
Procedures he offers include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy, ostomy reversal, robotic inguinal and ventral hernia repair, robotic ETEP ventral hernia repair with transverses abdominus muscle release, paraoesophageal and hiatal hernia repair, sleeve gastrectomy, Roux en Y gastric bypass and adjustable laparoscopic gastric band removal.
Outside of the hospital he enjoys playing golf and working in his garden with his wife, Emily and their golden retriever, Boomer.
